Amec Foster Wheeler is seeking a BAS Manager to Manage Building Automation System related equipment and department technicians. Managerial responsibilities include, but are not limited to; staff work scheduling, contract performance compliance, work flow performance scheduling, customer liaison, recommendation of process improvement procedures, staff training and counseling, equipment calibration management, and departmental material ordering. This position requires practical skill and knowledge in skilled trades areas including: HVAC, plumbing, general mechanical maintenance procedures, basic refrigeration, and basic electricity.
Key Responsibilities •Provide technical oversight and direction on BAS related tasks to be executed in a 24/7 365 working schedule •Ensure that requested task order are completed within contract designated performance periods •Ensure that contract required staffing levels are fulfilled at all times •Review energy conservation measure recommendations and provide client with formal recommendations to improve facility efficiency •Work involves a maintenance procedures of the following equipment: plumbing fixtures, air handlers, exhaust fans, pumps, fan coil units, cabinet unit heaters, and general mechanical maintenance on equipment and machinery •Position serves as one of three main line managers, serving as back-up to the overall Project Manager during the PM’s absence
Skills / Qualifications Required •High School Diploma or GED equivalent •Maintain valid state driver’s license •At least 3 years technical training and/or job related experience •Must have the ability to: ?Obtain/maintain proper security clearances as condition of employment ?Execute basic functions using Microsoft Office Suite products ?Provide written performance and equipment status reports as required by contract ?Lift 50 lbs. as needed ?Walk great distances to perform duties (>1 mi frequently) ?Work independently or with minimum supervision ?Work effectively in a service oriented environment subject to changing priorities ?Work outside during adverse weather conditions and extreme cold/heat ?Work in confined spaces and on roofs ?Work in a team environment in conjunction with other technicians and crafts
Preferred •At least 3 years experience in facility operation and maintenance oversight •At least 3 years experience in BAS installation, repair, and/or maintenance •Experience and general understanding of automated control sequences and programming protocol
