Candidates must have a Ph.D., preferably with a first degree in materials science & engineering or another allied engineering field. Evidence of outstanding research achievements, or research potential as evidenced by publication in leading journals in the field, is indispensable. Preferred qualifications include dedication to an environment that supports diversity of population and perspectives; as our students come from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and backgrounds, we invite candidates to address in their application their ability to teach, supervise, and mentor in this context.
Membership or eligibility for membership in a Canadian professional engineering association is required.
