Description: This position is responsible for assisting the Toxicology Manager in completion of toxicological evaluations.
Preparation of all toxicological evaluations, including initial and final toxicological reviews.
Assistance in managing WQA’s participation in the Joint Peer Review Steering Committee by maintaining and revising committee documents, developing agendas for committee conference calls, presenting risk assessments to the committee for reconciliation amongst the other certifiers and representing WQA before the NSF Health Advisory Board when documents are peer reviewed.
Maintenance and development of toxicology portion of LIMS.
Maintaining department related metrics and documents.
Maintaining and improving standard operating procedures and standard toxicology methods related to testing and evaluations.
Responsible for creating a safe work environment and adhering to all safety rules for all laboratories within WQA.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelors of Science in environmental science, toxicology, or related natural science required
1-3 years toxicological experience preferred
1-2 years of experience in the certification industry preferred
1-2 years of experience working with LIMS preferred
Knowledge of NSF/ANSI standards a plus
Strong project management skills required
Experience working with Quality Systems and Laboratory Safety Protocols required
CWS certification preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe
