The Webmaster is responsible for the evaluation, maintenance, customization, and updates of all Water Quality Association websites and other digital marketing tools, including but not limited to social media, email, podcasting, video, and other platforms. This position will function as a core member of both the Marketing and IT teams.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications department, particularly with the WQA Digital Media & Content Manager. This position will be responsible for the front-end development necessary to support the look and feel of online content
Understand the needs of both the internal staff and external clients and members and propose, discuss, and execute improvements to web applications based upon these needs.
Assist with SEO, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to improve and provide regular reporting of website performance.
Work within WQA’s Association Management System to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot configurations to sync with websites.
Lead and/or assist with other integrations involving 3rd party vendors
Keep up to date on new web and internet technologies that can further WQA’s capabilities
Evaluate and recommend new technology and tools
Implement new functionality into existing applications to offer improved experience to internal and external stakeholders.
Create and present reports on benchmarking and analysis of recommendations for the improvement of web and mar-tech applications
Keep track of frequently occurring issues or pain points relating to web applications.
2- or 4-year degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or web design OR
3 years of professional experience, in addition to the requirements listed below
Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in marketing or IT role
Must be fluent in both HTML and CSS markup
Experience with content management solutions; WordPress or DNN a plus.
Experience with IIS, Apache or similar
Competency in UX design
Understanding of project management principles.
Knowledge of web-related technologies such as DNS and CDN
