This position is responsible for, but not limited to:
The SeniorEnvironmentalEngineer will lead a variety of environmental and/or engineering projects for our organization. They work with A-C-T staff and resources from within their group and other A-C-T business groups to ensure their environmental projects meet all requirements set by regulatory agencies, clients and A-C-T.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Execution of traditional and environmental engineering projects involving both existing and innovative technologies for cleanup/removal of hazardous wastes, contaminated soils and groundwater.
Project or technical management of site investigation/remediation including conducting feasibility studies.
Evaluation of remedial technologies, design and implementation of in-situ and ex-situ remedial approaches.
Oversight of operations and maintenance of remediation equipment/installations, remedial system design specification compliance and optimization, facility compliance evaluations and emissions calculations.
Regulatory applicability reviews (review/interpretation of environmental regulations), engaging staff in field data collection and interpretation, permit preparation and completion of reports.
Working knowledge of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act program, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Petroleum Restoration Program and familiarity of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection regulations is required.
Oversee project staff (engineers, scientists, project managers, field services staff) and subcontractors.
Manage all aspects of assigned projects including technical and budgetary schedule to maintain client satisfaction and repeat business.
Provide technical expertise to project teams within the company.
Work effectively with minimal supervision.
Develop new business opportunities and expand business with existing clients.
Provide effective communication to staff and other corporate officers.
Complete other job duties as necessary.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental and/or Chemical Process)
Minimum of 5-10 years of environmental consulting and design experience to support projects involving site investigations, remediation, regulatory compliance and environmental permitting for groundwater, soil, soil vapor, air and regulated waste.
Florida PE registration with relevant hands-on experience and management experience of subcontractors, scheduling, and agency negotiations required.
