The Department of Aerospace Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science at Ryerson University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2019, subject to budgetary approval.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline. Candidates with postdoctoral experience and/or industry experience are preferred. Candidates must have expertise in the field of aerospace propulsion. Experience in areas such as turbomachinery, rocketry, and combustion would be assets. Candidates must have a strong research profile (e.g., evidence of an emerging scholarly record, ability to establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program, innovations), potential for high-quality teaching and student training, and a demonstrated capacity for collegial service. Applicants are required to be registered or eligible for registration as a professional engineer in Ontario.
