Mead & Hunt is seeking a highly motivated individual to expand our transportation practice in Florida. This position’s responsibilities include leading business development opportunities in Central Florida to expand our engineering presence in the Florida market; project management for transportation engineering projects; leading QA/QC tasks for transportation projects; and performing management tasks as required. As our practice in Central Florida grows and staff are added, this position’s responsibilities will eventually include managing the department and assigned staff. Travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have all of the following:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering, or a related field from an accredited four-year university
at least eight years (12 preferred) of relevant work experience
PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in Florida within 6 months
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: proven ability to win design and/or transportation planning/PD&E work in Florida (specifically with FDOT); Florida transportation market knowledge; experience managing and supervising staff; transportation project management experience.
