ASSISTANT COUNTY TRAFFIC & TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER: Provides technical traffic and civil engineering skills for planning, design, operation and management of traffic signals, signing, pavement marking and signal system projects for Beaufort County.
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with concentration in traffic and transportation engineering and a passing grade from Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or a minimum 7 years experience in traffic signals and signal system design, timing and management
International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Level 1 certification or obtain within 12 months of hire and IMSA Traffic Signal Level 2 certification or obtain within 18 months
Excellent oral and written communication / presentation skills
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
