Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Construction Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our team in the Midwest to support multiple projects.
The successful candidate will be centrally located in St. Louis, MO but may be required to travel to projects in the central United States.
The individual must possess a strong work ethic and high degree of flexibility and patience to adjust to changing work priorities and schedules.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering design drawings, specifications and reports in order to ensure quality for all disciplines
Be fully familiarized with the contract requirements, client policies and procedures and ensure that those requirements are implemented (training to be provided upon hire)
Ability to develop, maintain, and effectively communicate project schedules
Ability to travel for extended periods of time
Validate design reviews and provide guidance for multi - discipline engineering documents
Validate all material inspections (all disciplines)
Validate all equipment inspections (all disciplines)
Validate all installation inspections (all disciplines)
Develop & provide various reports & status updates
Review and validate contractor pay applications and invoices
Skills / Qualifications
2+ years of experience
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and work experience or a four (4) year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering required
Excellent knowledge of multi - discipline construction related issues and their management
Demonstrable experience of managing multi - cultural delivery teams and management of excellence in HSE (Specifically EM 385 - 1 - 1)
Federal projects experience (strongly preferred)
OSHA 30 - hour certification (strongly preferred)
QC Certification by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) having completed the course entitled “Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors (preferred)
Responsiveness to client requests and project execution
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
Proficiency in MS Office application software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
