Bioinformatic Post-doctoral Associate position at Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry
Ke Xu
The Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate who aspires to become an independent academic researcher in the areas of addiction genetics, epigenetics and computational psychiatry. The position is a two-year appointment expected to begin on January 1st, 2020
The successful candidate will work primarily with Dr. Ke Xu, Associate Professor on projects funded by the NIH in identifying epigenetic (e.g. DNA methylation) alterations associated with substance misuse in HIV-infected and non-infected populations. The role will involve in analyzing high throughput genomic data including DNA methylation sequencing, RNAseq, single cell RNAseq, performing integrative analyses and delivering analytical results. The newly established Xu lab employs both molecular/wet lab and data driven approaches. Both labs maintain an interactive collaboration sharing expertise and ideas.
