Faculty Position in the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School The Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM) within the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) invites applications for an appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Harvard Medical School, commensurate with accomplishments and experience. The CGM comprises one of the largest and most vibrant hubs of genomic medicine research in the world. The CGM includes 46 faculty and over 400 individuals contributing to all facets of genomic medicine, including the discovery of genetic variation across diverse global populations, interrogation of disease mechanisms, and translating these discoveries to ultimately diagnose and treat human disease. The CGM, directed by Dr. Michael Talkowski, includes faculty within and outside of affiliated Units engaged in research across this ‘genomic medicine cycle’, including an Analytical and Translational Genetics Unit (ATGU), a Psychiatric and Neurodevelopmental Genetics Unit (PNGU), a Molecular Neurogenetics Unit (MNU), and a Genomic Medicine Unit (GMU). The CGM is also a major docking point for faculty leadership at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, and includes numerous Institute Members and Program leadership at the Broad (see below and the CGM website at http://cgm.massgeneral.org). Our search is open to all candidates from diverse training backgrounds seeking to develop a research program across genomic medicine, including fundamental, translational, and clinical genomics research. Successful candidates will be provided molecular and/or computational laboratory space in the CGM, a hub of genomic research in Boston, and will have the opportunity for interactions and membership across multiple Institutions within the Harvard and MIT genomics communities. The following HMS faculty are representatives of the CGM leadership: Michael Talkowski: Director, CGM Institute Member, Broad Heidi Rehm: Director, GMU Institute Member, Broad Jose Florez: Chief, MGH Endocrine Division Institute Member, Broad Benjamin Neale: Institute Member, Broad ATGU Genomics of Public Health Initiative Vamsi Mootha: Institute Member, Broad Co-Director, Metabolism Program | Mark Daly: Chief, ATGU Institute Member, Broad Jordan Smoller: Director, PNGU Director, Center for Precision Psychiatry James Gusella: Director, MNU Associate Member, Broad Hilary Finucane: Co-Director, Program in Medical and Population Genetics, Broad Susan Slaugenhaupt, Scientific Director, MGH Research Institute, Professor of Neurology | Applicants should apply on the CGM website (http://cgm.massgeneral.org) no later than February 1, 2021.
