The Structural Plans Processor examines, approves or disapproves walk-through and drop-off plans submitted for approval for compliance with the adopted Building Code.  Discuss with and advises architects, engineers, and contractors as to necessary changes to plans for approval.  Evaluates alternate methods, procedures, materials and products for compliance with code requirements.  Provides technical advice and information concerning the Building Code and other applicable regulations to architects, engineers, contractors, and homeowners.  Makes decisions as to the feasibility of deviations from the code under various conditions.  Revise the plan review checklist as new changes become effective.

Responsibilities  

Attends meetings and responds to e-mails from architects, engineers, contractors and the public to discuss and clarify disapproval comments.  Resolves conflict and offers clarifications relating to plan review duties for architects, engineers, contractors and public during office hours.
