Project Manager
Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex
The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects to meet the organization’s desired goals and improvements. Will provide professional project management experience to coordinate a various capital projects and assignments at BJCC. Monitors and coordinates the execution of various services and processes relating to project management including capital improvements, facility and infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and repair projects. Works in collaboration with Accounting, Engineering, IT, Facility management team as directed by the Senior Director/General Manager. The duties of this position require a comprehensive knowledge of engineering, construction contracts, and project management of the design and construction phases of facilities projects. Physical Demands Position may require lifting, climbing, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting and kneeling for extended periods of time. Extensive walking and/or standing. Ability to lift 35 – 50 pound items, while maintain good balance. Must be flexible enough to reach above shoulder level and be able to push and pull for extended periods of time. Position is routinely required to work outdoors and is exposed to the elements (heat, rain, etc.). Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Travel This position may require minimal travel.
