The Low Impact Development Center (LID Center) of Beltsville, MD is seeking an enthusiastic civil or environmental engineer to work on projects involving stormwater management, water quality, and other low impact development or green infrastructure activities. The work includes civil site design for stormwater retrofits, planning level exercises for municipal master planning, support of various local government agencies through engineering expertise, and a variety of other interesting related work. This is an entry-level position for 40 hours a week, working out of our office in Beltsville, MD. **Currently with Covid-19 we are mostly working from home, with limited trips into the office. We follow all CDC guidelines pertaining to Covid-19.**

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering. Candidates should have a general understanding of the hydrologic principles, stormwater management practices, and stormwater regulations. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, but not necessary upon hire as long as there is willingness to learn. GIS skills, technical writing, SWMM, and Microstation are a plus. Special consideration is given to applicants with Prince George’s County residency. |
