Project Manager– this position works remotely from home full-time, in North Carolina, with project site visits as needed As a design-build, ground-improvement subcontractor, we are looking for a Project Manager to oversee installation of our geotechnical solutions on multiple projects at any given time. The position will have responsibility for estimating, contract review, project management, and construction.
Responsibilities: In this position, you will be responsible for day to day management of projects, contract requirements, managing change orders and claims, monitoring and managing project schedule, cost control and QA/QC requirements, project invoicing and securing payment. • Manage contracting, planning and construction of the Geopier Rammed
Aggregate Pier Foundation Support System and Rapid Impact Compactor (RIC) • Setup, establishing and monitor the construction budget • Project coordinator and liaison between client management, engineering,
and field crews • Manage material procurement, activation of vendor quotes, purchase order
and subcontractor agreement documents • Assist in estimating for new work, as well as for change orders on current projects • Monitor / review daily quality control input and final review/approval of QC prior
to project demobilization
Qualifications Qualified candidates must have 5 - 10 years Heavy Civil Construction or Geotechnical Construction experience with a BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Other requirements include: strong project management experience in general construction, drilling, anchors, micro-piles, earth retention, grouting, excavation, solid familiarity with all project contractual requirements and proven experience working effectively as a liaison with Engineers, General Contractors, and Owners. Excellent computer skills and written & verbal communication skills necessary.
