Utilize data and risk/predictive models to optimize College operations and understand key business behaviors, drivers, and market conditions.
Perform data analytics on prospective and current students, alumni, and employers.
Perform explanatory data analyses, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data, and identify patterns using advanced statistical methods.
Build algorithms to predict future data trends and relationships.
Support data/reporting needs for accreditation efforts, compliance, grants, and end users.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data\information needs and develop innovative, effective solutions.
Meet with stakeholders to explain data, data analysis, insights, and relationships within data.
Ensure that analytical solutions support, or result in, actionable strategies; participates in a consultative role in implementing solutions.
Evaluate and document results of proposed solutions to ensure the College continues to move forward.
Participate in the strategic planning process, including environmental scanning.
Design/optimize data collection efforts to support analysis.
Develop and maintain means to clearly communicate KPI data in various forms and channels to decision-makers, including dashboards, reports, and portal postings.
Develop methods to monitor data/report integrity, accuracy, and reliability.
Develop/maintain data dictionaries to provide a common understanding for interpreting data.
Assist with the design and maintenance of data governance structures, policies and procedures.
Curate and retain data according to College policies.
Recommend technology to support data analysis efforts and equip designated users with self-service tools.
Serve on Ellucian Colleague executive steering committee.
Bachelor’s degree in data analysis, statistics, or related field is required.
A minimum of two years related professional work experience.
Solid quantitative background including proficiency in problem solving, statistical methods, data analysis, and modeling.
Work experience with Python, statistical software, SQL/databases, BI software, and Tableau required.
Advanced Excel and intermediate Word and PowerPoint required.
Proven ability to apply data analytics to identify problems, develop solutions, and measure results.
Experience in a higher education setting preferred.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills required.
Ability to clearly communicate and present data clearly and concisely, along with appropriate visuals required.
Superior analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy required.
Ability to prioritize and manage workload to tight deadlines is required.
Strong follow-through and project management skills required.
Telecommuting is allowed.
