The Electrical Project Management Engineer will be performing all aspects of electrical project management for Engineering function-led projects. Responsibilities include administrative and technical work monitoring, providing oversight and management projects supporting FMPA’s electrical generation assets, distribution engineering for municipal electric systems, and related work assigned.
Additional responsibilities include handling record management control systems, management of change processes and ensuring maintenance schedules of assets are compliant with NERC standards. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Supervising Electrical Engineer.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience with 10 years preferred in electric power utilities industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience
General knowledge of materials and methods used in construction of electrical power plants, substations and/or distribution systems
Experience in project management for electrical generation, substations and/or distribution systems
Experience in project design plan reviews and processes
Knowledge of related IEEE Standards and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with asset management and/or work order tracking. Maximo experience ideal but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel Power Point and Visio
