The University of Kansas, School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track business analytics position at the assistant professor level. This position starts in Fall 2022. Salary and support are competitive.
Candidates should have completed, or anticipate completion of, their Ph.D. by August 18, 2022; have strong potential to publish in top tier journals in business analytics, data science, information systems or information management; and have potential for effective teaching in the area of business analytics.
Candidates' special interests should be outlined in the research statement required as part of the application package. Such areas could include, but are not limited to: the application of data analytics or information management to contemporary business problems, business intelligence, decision support systems, cloud computing, data visualization/graphics, data mining, information systems, machine learning, multivariate and/or Bayesian statistics, computer simulation and modeling, Big Data analytics, scripting languages or programming frameworks (e.g. R, SAS, SQL, Python, Hadoop, Java, MatLab), data management platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.), analytics tools (Spotfire, Tableau, Oracle Data Visualization, Pentaho, etc.), or providing insights and solutions in the application fields of health care, energy, fraud detection, finance, retailing, insurance, transportation, or logistics.
