  • Integrate reliability and preventive quality into the New Product Introduction process leveraging tools such as APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) across Topcon Positioning Systems, subsidiaries, and suppliers.
  • Deploy and improve tools (FMEA, PPAP, Six Sigma) and processes across all functions focused on improving new product launch quality and reliability.
  • Integrate quality and reliability requirements into the PLC (Product Life Cycle) process.
  • Conduct Design reviews with product teams to ensure requirements and specification are being met throughout product development cycles.
  • Work with project teams to develop verification and validation plans for new products and product redesigns.
  • Develop reliability test plans and reliability targets
  • Conduct reliability test such as HALT testing, Key Life Testing, Step Over Stress testing, etc.
  • Conduct MTTFd analysis and other reliability analysis
  • Develop reliability test plans and analyze test results
  • Perform Weibull analysis and other life failure analysis
  • Identify customer requirements, issues, and opportunities with new products under development and current product offerings as well.
  • Train Topcon teams on design for reliability and robustness tools

  • BS, Engineering- (EE, IE, ME), MS is a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of practical business experience in any application of reliability.
  • Experience with Automotive/Machinery Product Development Life Cycle (Systems, Software, HW)
  • Knowledge of Product Development Life Cycle with respect to Systems, Electrical or Software Development.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in Design for Robustness.
  • Good technical leadership, planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in working with widely distributed team on a global footprint is a plus
  • Collaborative, team-oriented contributor with demonstrated ability to think outside the box to achieve goals and deliver results efficiently
  • Willing to travel to Topcon locations developing new products and systems.
