Infratech Corporation is a leading utility contracting firm seeking a Manager of Engineering and Operations to lead a new opportunity in Virginia. The company offers overhead and underground engineering and distribution construction services to investor owned, cooperative, municipal, and federal government utilities. The company was established in 1994. 

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills. They will possess a proven track record managing team members performing engineering and construction services primarily for overhead and underground distribution construction activities. He/she will report to the Regional Vice President.

A Virginia licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in a related field (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial) is required and a PMP designation or similar operational experience is required. The candidate should have 5+ years of experience managing power distribution and field engineers as well as line construction personnel. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrably have the following attributes:

• The ability to manage project design and construction for Mid Atlantic IOU’s, including an in-depth understanding of utility engineering technical requirements, tools, methods and OH/UG construction practices related to distribution facilities.
• Ability to manage 3-10 design field engineers / techs and 20-60 distribution construction personnel including Groundmen through Supervisors.
• Have a working knowledge of latest CAD and IOU design tools and customer standards.
• Proven ability to Review and manage projects from concept to construction package to completion, including planning and budgeting design, resources, time, materials, delays, permits, safety, training, quality control, utility customer interaction, cleanup, risk mitigation, cleanup, completion and billing.
• Proven success maintaining and improving performance and efficiency through process analysis and improvement including partnering initiatives to effectively manage the company’s resources.
• Must demonstrate and understand the importance of safety, training and quality control in the industry and be a strong champion of the company’s safety and training programs.
