Moore Engineering Company, in Lancaster PA, has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer (Building HVAC and Plumbing). 

The successful applicant will design and specify HVAC and Plumbing systems for new and renovation projects in various markets in the northeast and beyond. 

Responsibilities will include feasibility studies, systems option evaluations and selections, heat loss/gain calculations, energy modeling, equipment selection, full system design and specification, project oversight/management, construction support, etc. 

Major markets will include laboratories, educational buildings, senior care facilities, government facilities, and multi-family housing complexes.  We have a strong and diverse client base that we have served for many years on multiple projects. 

Our office offers a casual environment with a family atmosphere.  Most of our staff have been working together for 15 or more years.   The Moore Engineering staff is the foundation of our success and they are highly valued.

5 years minimum HVAC and Plumbing Design and Project Management.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.  An Architectural Engineering degree is preferred but not required.

PE or EIT in Pennsylvania is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, healthcare design codes, and basic industry design standards is required.

Working experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, and LEED Energy Modeling is a plus.
