Post-doctoral researcher in stochastic inventory management

The Operations Research & Statistics group of the United Arab Emirates University seeks to hire a post-doctoral researcher for a period of 1 year (with a possibility of extension) to start as soon as possible.
The post-doctoral researcher is expected to collaborate in an ongoing funded research project on stochastic inventory management and optimization. The position is for a period of 1 year, but it may be extended for another 6 to 12 months.
A PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Management Science or a related field;
Excellent programming skills (preferably Matlab);
Expertise in mathematical modeling, analysis, and stochastic optimization;
Research experience both in modeling and in applying heuristics and exact solution methods;
Ability to work both independently and within a team;
Good verbal and written communication skills (in English).
Salary and conditions:
This position is available for 1 year and will start as soon as a candidate has been recruited. The selected candidate will receive a very competitive monthly salary, which includes a housing allowance and health insurance. If the candidate comes from abroad, then one return ticket will also be offered.
