The City of Salinas is looking for a Traffic Engineer to plan, organize, direct, and supervise complex engineering work relating to specialized traffic engineering and transportation planning operations and provide technical review of traffic analysis supporting development projects in the City.
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil or traffic engineering or a closely related field.
Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional transportation and traffic engineering experience, including one year of supervisory responsibility.
Licenses and Certifications: A valid California Driver’s license. A valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer or traffic engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers (Traffic Engineer is preferred).Employee must complete AB 1825 Sexual Harassment Prevention Training within six months of appointment and every two years thereafter.
