The purpose of this position is to assist the Transportation Planning Engineer in the design and construction of federally funded capital projects, to provide coordination of review of Traffic Impact Analyses (TIA), to assist in the administration of the STBGP-DA/TASA grant program and to provide technical support to the Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization (WMPO).Performs routine civil/transportation engineering tasks under the supervision of the Transportation Planning Engineer, while gaining the skills s/he needs to lead and manage projects.Under close supervision of a Professional Engineer, perform routine engineering tasks or assignments.  Exercise limited judgement within defined methods, procedures, and practices.
