The City of Los Angeles, Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) is seeking Building Electrical Engineers ($114,004 to $185,247 annual salary range effective 9/22/24 + $200 biweekly bonus if ICC certified) to ensure that Los Angeles builds safely and well! A Building Electrical Engineer in LADBS plays a key role in overseeing the operations of the Electrical Division. They train and evaluate the work of electrical engineers, make critical electric code compliance decisions, facilitate the plan check progress of major projects, and monitor the services provided to the public, including the plan check approval and permit issuance process, design issue resolution, and the electrical product testing and approval process unique to the department's Electrical Test Laboratory.
