Duties:                       Responsible for providing technical assistance, direction, and support to Bechtel and subcontractor field supervision for construction and installation activities for all disciplines associated with specified area equipment and materials. Performing inspections and initiating supporting documentation for all discipline system installations on an ongoing basis. Providing support to field supervision in establishing requirements for manpower, tools, equipment, and material requirements for a given work evolution. Developing installation work packages for scopes of work in support of the construction schedule. Preparing short- and long-term schedules, and interfacing with superintendents and other discipline field engineers. Executing field material takeoffs from "Issued For Construction" drawings. Providing input to the quantity tracking applications and reporting on weekly installed quantities to Project Controls. Actively leading and participating in the ‘People Based Quality (PBQ)’ and the ‘Build it Clean Program’. Preparing field material requisitions for equipment and materials, and monitoring status of purchase orders and deliveries. Assisting field procurement in receipt inspection and reporting of associated equipment and materials and preventive maintenance requirements. Trouble-shooting the design, resolving issues with engineering and/or fabricator using formal field documentation processes. Ensuring all installations are per latest revisions of design drawings, specifications, standards and codes. Completing and verifying quality documentation per inspection and test plans. Completing and reviewing as-built documentation. Monitoring actual work performance compared to the project budget and schedule.

Requirements:                Must have a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Site Work Plant Field Engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in: Structural Engineering expertise with knowledge in structural elements such as bored piles, in-situ and prefabricated concrete foundations, and structural steel structures. Mass earthworks experience preparing job sites to be developed through means of blasting on rocky terrains, and excavation and backfilling with specific geotextiles in sandy terrains. Cast-in-situ concrete expertise in extreme climates including sub-zero temperature / extreme heat. Field Engineering operations performing inspections and initiating documentation for system installations, developing installation work packages and executing material takeoffs, troubleshooting design issues and resolving them with engineering teams, and coordinating with subcontractors and superintendents on constructability and technical compliance. Software and automation tools for punch-list tracking, project databases, and system turnover coordination such as TeamWorks, Smart Completions, iProcurement, and SiteSense. Civil Engineering tools such as Propeller, CornerStone, SteelSlayer, CommandAlkon, AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, and STAAD Pro. Project and resource management including preparing requisitions, monitoring purchase orders, and supporting field procurement.
